Beat the Rainy Day Blues

Seattle does get it’s fair share of rain with an average of nearly 37.5 inches of precipitation a year. The next time you are in Seattle, don’t let the rain stop you from getting out and exploring. Here are three great places to hang out at the next time a deluge comes your way.

For the Dog: Dogwood Play Park

Genuis! A play park for dogs with a bar for you! Dogwood Play park is an off leash indoor/outdoor play space for your best friend. (Current vaccination records required). Saddle up to the bar for a beer while your canine bestie makes some new pals of his own.

For the Kids: Seattle Aquarium

When was the last time you actually spent some time at the Aquarium? Nearly everything is indoors so you can take your time to peruse the sea creatures. The coral and sea anemone collection is pretty impressive! A rainy day is the perfect time to explore a whole other world.

Just in case you didn’t know, Ballard has a beach club! The beach club theme and island inspired menu will beat back those rainy day blues. Order up a Coconut Mojito while you tuck into a Pineapple Marverick’s Burger. This incredible vegan hang out’s mission is to serve great food while making a difference for our furry friends.
